iRex Technologies

iRex Technologies is a spin-off company from Royal Philips Electronics, located on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Their mission is to provide solutions for reading written digital content with the ease and comfort of print on paper, combined with the interactivity, flexibility and up-dating ability of digital information. To enable this iRex provides several e-reader products. They use so called electronic ink (e-ink) displays which makes reading of a screen as easy on the eye as reading from paper. Furthermore these e-ink displays do not consume power if the contents on it don't change. This gives the devices a long battery time.
